LUPS Late Lunch at Revolution with quiz
There will be a Late LUPS Lunch taking place at Revolution (on New Walk) on Thursday 19th November. It will start at 4pm and at end 7pm. Quiz entry will cost £1 and there will be Freud-themed prizes. Hoodie Sign Ups (As well as Membership sign ups if anyone still wants to sign up)
Please come to The Scholar on either Monday 9th or Thursday 12th. Members of the committee will be there from 12 to 4 on both days. The hoodies will cost £23 each.
2009/2010 Academic Year!
Hello everyone! The LUPS website has finally been updated and hopefully it will continued to be updated throughout this upcoming academic year! To begin the year, freshers fair will be held on the 28th and 29th September 2009 (venue to be confirmed). So please come along and join this society which, besides allowing a Psychology students to meet another, will also be responsible for running different types of activities/events throughout the year. For example, social events! We are at the moment planning 2009/2010's first fresher's social so please provide us with yours great ideas and suggestions as we would like to run a social event that everyone enjoys! (Please send us your ideas and suggestions through the contact information provided in the Contact Us section. Besides these fun social events, we will also be arranging academic related events such as the London Lectures which will take place later on this year (further details to come). All members of the committee will definitely be working our hardest in order to bring society members a wide array of activities and events. We look forward to seeing you all this year at our activities and events everyone =) All the best to everyone for this upcoming academic year!

Psychology Camera Bar Crawl!
LUPS is proud to host the first and last social of the year by the new committee. The social, THIS Wednesday will be visiting the following bars:
7:30 meet at Marzbar for various drink deals
8:15 Walkabout
9:00 R-bar for pound shots
9:45 Time - 2 cocktails for a fiver, £1 shooters, £2 for bottled beer
10:30 Varsity
Ending up in Red Leicester at 11:15
T-shirts are £4.50 for members and £5 for non-members and include entry into Red Leicester.
Shirts are available this Monday from the Student Development Centre
Proceeds go to the National Autistic Society

Join the new LUPS Committee!
Are you interested in joining the LUPS Committee?
The University of Leicester Psychology Society needs two new members to take charge of the society’s publicity. You will work as a team to organise and design publicity for all the society’s events.
If you are interested then please come along to a meeting on TUESDAY 6th March at 12.30 in the CROMWELL ROOM in the Union building (please ask the Student Development Centre for directions).
This is a great opportunity to get involved with a fun, exciting society and enthusiastic new members are needed to make next year equally successful!

LUPS Featured on BPS Website
LUPS has recently gained national recognition as one of the most innovative and exciting University Psychology societies in the country. VP Academic Sec and PR / Marketing Officer for the BPS Student Members Group, Fiona was recently commissioned to write an article about LUPS for the benefit of other socities and students around the UK.

Psychology Christmas Ball
The Psychology Christmas Ball has finally arrived. It will be held in the VIP area of Time bar at 8:30 till late on Thursday 14th December. The dress code is smart attire / formal.
Tickets cost £10 for members and £12.50 for non-members. Each ticket enables you to a free drink on arrival, access to a photographer, a buffet with dessert (see below for menu), a fantastic magician and drinking games throughout the night!
All tickets can be purchased from the Student Support Centre, but you're advised to get them ASAP as we only have a limited number.
